Introducing hi-jump

The hi-jump dating app is coming in 2026.

hi-jump is for real people looking to meet other real people. It’s not complicated, but current dating app culture can sometimes feel like pulling teeth.

hi-jump centres around three key values:

  • no bullsh*t (honesty)

  • don’t be a d*ck (respect)

  • be upfront (clear communication)

We believe that online dating culture lacks these things too often, which is why it can feel so exhausting. So we fully commit to them.

We do this by asking our community members to commit to these values themselves and to expect the same from others. We all hold each other accountable to create a better dating culture and experience for everyone.

Together we aim to raise the bar for online dating.

Current dating app culture can be a drainer after a while.
We’re here to offer a better way.

Who we are

hi-jump was created as a direct result of the frustration from dating app culture, where getting ignored, ghosted and disrespected seems to be the norm.

It’s exhausting. We’ve been there. This is personal.

We refuse to keep lowering our expectations of people and just accept that the bar for online dating is on the floor.

Our mission is to create a better online dating culture. One where honesty, respect and good communication rule.

  • I nearly died from exhaustion after years spent trying to find love on the apps

  • I have a professional background in technology and experience design

  • Building my own app has always been a dream of mine

  • Building hi-jump is my destiny

Online dating can feel like a never-ending rollercoaster of hope followed by disappointment. How do you make the ride less chaotic?

Not everyone is right for you, and you are not right for everyone - that’s a fact, not an insult.

How many people should I be chatting with at the same time? The answer is 3, and also, it depends.
